Markéta Perroud
After graduating from the Prague Dance Conservatory in 1990, she worked as a professional dancer in the Pavel Šmok Prague Chamber Ballet and collaborated on many independent artistic projects at home and abroad. In 1995, she was awarded the Thalia Prize.
In 1997, she became a soloist of the Ballet of the State Opera in Lyon, France, where she worked until 2010. She holds a French state diploma in dance pedagogy, and in 2009 - 2010 she studied cultural management in Lyon.
Since 2010, she has collaborated with Tanec Praha, originally as a member of the Artistic Council, then as artistic co-director of the TANEC PRAHA festival (from 2011 to January 2024) and of the entire organization (from 2012 to January 2024). In 2015, she was awarded the insignia of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters for her contribution to the development of French-Czech relations. From May 2021 to September 2023, she was also the artistic director of the PONEC Theater.
She has participated in many European projects such as Aerowaves, EDN-European Dance Development Network, Dance transit. Prague.Dresden.Leipzig, Dancing Museums, Shape It, Big Pulse Dance Alliance, Dancing Museums, Dance Well and others.
She is currently active as an external curator, is active in the artistic direction of the Dance Well project as an external collaborator of Tance Praha, collaborates with dance artists and organizations to develop their international relations, and since 2024 has been developing the activities of the DanceConnected association.
She is a member of numerous committees and juries.
