Our projects
DanceConnected develops projects at the intersection of artistic creation, education, and community work. Since 2024, we have focused on supporting contemporary dance, connecting the Czech and international dance scenes, and finding ways to bring dance to people across generations and backgrounds.
We initiate new projects and support the creation of dance productions, residencies, and movement formats that respond to specific places and communities. We view dance as a living language of dialogue, sharing, and shared experience. We strive for long-term collaboration with European cultural initiatives, actively engage in international dance and educational networks, and through our work contribute to a sustainable future for dance and the performing arts.
The Dance in Galaxie project is one of DanceConnected’s key initiatives for the coming years. We are helping to transform the former Galaxie multiplex in Jižní Město into a vibrant hub for contemporary art, where dance serves as a means of bringing people together, fostering dialogue, and engaging with the local community.
Through the Galleries in Motion project, we bring adaptations of dance performances and movement interventions into the gallery setting. We create situations where the dynamics of dance intersect with other art forms, opening up new ways of perceiving the body, space, and the exhibitions themselves.

We have been developing the Dance Well project over the long term as a community platform for people living with Parkinson’s disease and other mobility limitations. Through dance, we promote physical vitality, social interaction, and active participation in cultural and social life.
