About the event
DanceConnected’s contemporary dance classes are heading outside of Prague. In Jihlava, you can join us at DIOD, where, over the course of three workshops, you’ll meet three prominent figures from the Czech dance scene and learn about their distinct approaches to movement. Each class offers a different perspective on contemporary dance, from working with breath and rhythm, through improvisation and contact, to perceiving the body in space. Thanks to this diversity, you’ll have the opportunity to explore various perspectives and paths of movement and find the one that’s right for you. Here, dance isn’t about performance, but about an experience that, at the end of the day, connects you with yourself and the world around you.
The next sessions will take place on January 17 and March 14, 2027.
The workshops are organized in collaboration with DIOD and DanceConnected.

Tereza Holubová is a dancer, performer and author. She graduated from the Duncan Centre Conservatory and during her studies she completed an internship at the Limon Institute and Peridance Capezio Center in New York. She has collaborated with a number of Czech ensembles, including Lenka Vágnerová & Company, Tantehorse, Dekkadancers and PocketArt. She also works at the State Opera and the National Theatre. In 2023 she co-founded the ensemble Nebojsy.
In her teaching practice, she focuses on natural and healthy movement. Together you will go through a warm-up, stretching, technical part and movement variation.
During the lesson, you will discover movement together in various dynamics and relationships - individually, in pairs and in a group, with an emphasis on the playful connection of technical principles.
