About the event
What might dance and movement education look like in schools? What opportunities does it offer teachers, and how does it relate to attending dance performances?
In the revised Framework Educational Program, the Arts and Culture section is approached more comprehensively and includes other forms of arts education, such as dance and movement.
A roundtable discussion as part of the Feet Forward Festival will present various ways to implement dance and movement education in both school and extracurricular settings. It will also focus on accompanying programs that help children understand dance works, opportunities for involvement in your community, and the connection between dance and other educational areas, such as media, civic, and preventive education.
The roundtable will be moderated by Markéta Pucová, M.A.
Association of Dance and Movement Education (ATPV) is the umbrella organization for the field of dance and movement education. Its mission is to raise awareness of the benefits of creative dance in children’s education among professionals, educators, and the broader public.
