About the event
Every post, every story, every photo. The world has turned into a showcase of our best selves. But who are we without the image we so carefully curate for others?
Dissplay is a dance journey by Jitka Sara Páníková and Tereza Lenerová that dives into the world of social media, self-presentation, and constant sharing. It asks how deeply we are caught up in the pressure of our surroundings, trapped in the digital world, and driven by the desire to be seen without losing ourselves.
With humor, perspective, and sensitivity, it explores themes of identity, self-perception, and the influence of the digital environment on our daily lives. She invites us to slow down for a moment, stop worrying about how we look on the outside, and start noticing what’s happening on the inside. Perhaps we’ll discover that the greatest relief comes the moment we stop trying to fit in. And that the world is actually quite funny when we allow ourselves to make fun of it—and, above all, of ourselves.
