About the event
A performative celebration of the richness of human diversity.
CARRIED AWAY is a metaphor for the human spirit's ability to overcome limitations and achieve a state of resilient fragility. It emphasizes the positive and inspiring aspects of human existence—moments when we feel like we have grown wings and let ourselves be carried away by flashes of emotional connection or moments of clarity that defy the limits we face.
CARRIED AWAY is a performative event that consciously connects the audience and the performers. At various moments, everyone present becomes part of a jointly created, organic, and sensory world. The result is a celebration of movement, presence, and humanity that promotes a more inclusive and compassionate society and values the richness of human diversity.
The work is being created as part of Dance Well, an international project focused on dance for people with Parkinson's disease and other mobility disorders. Dance Well also opens up space for anyone who cares about self-care and social cohesion. The Dance Well community meets regularly for lessons led by a specially trained team of instructors, composed of prominent figures in contemporary dance. CARRIED AWAY represents the next step in this creative and humanly connecting journey.
The performance will be followed by a dance party with music provided by DJ Spring.
