About the event

A dance remix of Tereza Ondrová’s Last Dance

How can absence become a movement? Can you dance someone back?

Inspired by Tereza Ondrová’s Last Dance, we pass movement from one body to another — repeating, changing, losing and finding it again. Last Dance of Tomorrow becomes a living remix.

‘Remixing Goodbye Practices’ is a long-term, touring and research project by Temporary Collective, featuring an international cast of dancers including Tereza Ondrová, Eva Priečková, Alex Morales, Maria Pasadaki, Dominika Wiak and Márcia Kerber Canabarro. Through dance, writing, interviews and shared experience, it explores loss, farewells, departure and the phenomenon of ‘letting go’.

Concept: Petra Tejnorová / Tereza Ondrová / Alexandra Morales / Sodja Zupanc-Lotker

Concept co-creation, performance and creation of “Last dance of tomorrow”: Tereza Ondrová, Eva Priečková, Maria Pasadaki, Dominika Wia, Márcio Kerber Canabarro

Temporary Collective is a performance-making group. Temporary Collective is dancer Tereza Ondrová and theatre director Petra Tejnorová. We are a duo, bringing together a team of creatives from various disciplines to make performances and encounters with the public.

Our artistic process is built through dialogue and in response to what challenges us. Recent topics in our work deal with sustainability, loss and geographical narrative, while also exploring the humorful and heartfelt. We are temporary because we do not hold fixed beliefs, preferring to welcome change and practice reinvention and relations with the unknown.

Temporary Collective also includes collaborators Monica Gillette (dramaturg), Sodja Lotker (dramaturg and curator), Markéta Perroud (international development), Daniela Řeháková (production), Mariana Pecháčková (production & development), Dominik Žižka and Marek Bartoš (video & photo documentation), among others.

Temporary Collective seeks the opportunities to explore different territories and media.

Temporary Collective is not based on permanency in terms of a permanent space or a certain theatre building but rather it builds its identity on the diverse relations and locations where a theatre and dance can take a place and on what team structures it can be created.

Temporary Collective enjoys changing structures and reacting to experimental forms which – only after that, it develops.

Temporary Collective enjoys various rhythms – some of our projects are long-term and other ones are just a short series of actions. Creation and destruction. Premiere and the last performance.

Temporary Collective is a variable and living creative organism. We like to create, form collectives based on an inner need to work and create together. Not just to persevere. Basically, that is why our name is TEMPORARY COLLECTIVE! Supported by: Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, City of Prague, State Fund for Culture
