The Dance and Movement Improvisation Workshop is designed as an open laboratory for meeting, sharing and deepening competences in the field of immediate composition. It offers a safe environment for working with movement, voice and text, where stage performance, the ability to listen, develop a situation, observe and perceive group dynamics are cultivated. We draw on almost fifteen years of experience in somatic disciplines, dance improvisation, performative and pedagogical practice, as well as long-term artistic research in the field of immediate composition, inspired by domestic and foreign sources. The workshop emphasizes exploration, asking questions and creative dialogue, where play and joy naturally intertwine with focused and serious work. It is intended for professionals and students in the field of dance and physical theatre, as well as for all those who want to further develop their improvisation skills. It also welcomes musicians interested in the dialogue between sound and movement.

Lecturers: Mish Rais, Jana Novorytová Mish Rais and Jana Novorytová from the group Částečné znejistění (Partial Uncertainty) have been collaborating since 2014. Together, they have created four original performances focused on participation, language, and immediate composition, and have dozens of performances under their belt—from apartment events to site-specific projects. They have long been exploring ways to develop body awareness, presence, and creative movement. They also perform in works by Czech and foreign artists, and as co-directors of the CreWcollective group, they are involved in pedagogical and artistic research in the field of performing arts.
