Katarína Morávek Ďuricová

She studied operations and economics at the University of Žilina in Žilina and from 2005 to 2011 she worked at the cultural center Stanica Žilina – Záriečie, where she gained experience in operating a cultural center and organizing international events. It was here that she also found a passion for lighting design and contemporary dance.

Since 2012, she has been working mainly in Prague and is engaged in project management (Czech Dance Platform 2013, 2015, 2016, Aerowaves Spring Forward in Pilsen 2016, Dancing Museums and Dance Well projects), production (Institute of Lighting Design), coordination (Staff Exchange within the Trans Europe Halles network, Anténa – network for independent culture, European Lighting School), and collaboration on artistic creation with ensembles. In addition to working on new lighting solutions and touring, she has been the technical director of the TANEC PRAHA festival since 2014 (until January 2024), Bratislava v pojebe since 2020, and since 2022 she has been organizing the light art festival in Žilina (SK).

From 2018 to 2021, she was a member of the Executive Committee of the Trans Europe Halles network of independent cultural centers.

She twice won the award for lighting design at the Czech Dance Platform festival in collaboration with VerTeDance and Jiří Havelka for the performances Flow (2017) and Correction (2014).
